We spent 3 unforgettable days in Bertrand’s chalet.

We spent 3 unforgettable days in Bertrand’s chalet. The house is located in a small village completely natural and beautiful, the forest is just a few meters away, the view is remarkable, it’s also convenient to buy groceries in the village in 5min driving distance. Bertrand gave us many useful advices bases on his professional photographer experiences. So listen to his advices and you won’t miss anything worthwhile seeing and doing in the neighborhood. We strongly recommend Carpe Diem for people want to get rid of stress and love the nature and mountain sports.

Chalet Carpe Diem was a beautiful little cottage with great views

Chalet Carpe Diem was a beautiful little cottage with great views and a great yard. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have the porch to eat breakfast and dinner. We had 4 adults and a 2 year old and with nice weather there was more than enough room for everyone to relax and the little one to run around the yard exploring the flowers!

Perfect location for exploring the Alps

Chalet was excellent. Very clean, tidy and warm. Mr. B was very friendly and nothng was too much trouble. Excellent facilties at the chalet including, washing machine, modern TV (for viewing GO-Pro footage from the day’s ride), wi-fi and an outside BBQ area which was utilized well !!
Chalet was ideally located for exploring (we were on motorbikes) the Rhone-Alpes, Hautes-Alpes & Haute-Provence.
All within a days ride were, Canyon du Verdon (Europe’s Grand Canyon), Combe Laval, Gorges de la Bourne, l’Alpe-d’Huez ski resort and Col de Sarennes back to Chambon, Cime de la Bonnette (highest Pass 9219ft used a few years ago on the Tour de France).
Gap is about 7 miles away which worked out fine, and the closest lake was approx 8 miles away.
Fantastic and will be back.

Exceptionnel

Superb!
The location was very peaceful and private but the main road was easily accessible. There was plenty of space to leave our van while we explored the area by motorbike. The chalet was clean, with a comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. There were also plenty of places to sit outside and relax after a day’s ride; either in the lovely gardens at the front or the back of the chalet or on the veranda.
Bertrand was a fabulous host.
